Spellapp Dictionary allows you to practice word spelling, search for words, and competing with self or others. It is composed of several submodules to allow you to accomplish specific tasks. These submodules include the settings, dictionary, contest, and the champions.
Settings
The settings module allows you to customize certain app features to your liking. For example, you can limit the maximum number of letters in a word while spelling (suitable for children). Some settings are only operational on certain devices and others are reserved for feature use.
Dictionary
The dictionary submodule allows you to search for words of your choice from a dictionary. You can also browse through words page by page (almost the way you do in a physical paper dictionary) forward and backwards.
Contest
The contest submodule is the main spelling submodule. Spellapp presents you with a misspelt word prompting you to write the collect one. Once you are done, it evaluates your response and indicates whether your word is collect or not. It allows you to play 10 games sets of 10 words each. In addition to evaluating the accuracy of the word entered, it evaluates how much time (speed) you spent doing it. If you do better than some existing champions, Spellapp allows you to join the list of champions.
Champions
Spellapp presents a list of champions depending on the speed use to type accurate words. The list is divided into two parts. The first list corresponds to the number of letters in a word as set by you – to show how others in the same category have performed. The second list is the World Champion list and lists the top 10 performers in terms of speed irrespective of the number of letters.
Other submodules and features.
Spellapp has other features like sharing allowing you to show friends how you performed in a contest. More features and submodules are being added as and when they become available.
